What is the DCC™ (Depth Color Correction)?

Adrianna Adrianna

Recordings made underwater are tinted green or blue, unless you use lights or a color filter.

Color filters must manually be put in front of the camera at the right depth, and changed as you go deeper to get the right results. Furthermore, a color filter absorbs light leaving you with darker and noisier recordings.

Paralenz instead has DCC™ (Depth Color Correction) Using the pressure sensor, the DCC™ corrects the colors according to the depth you are at, it is equivalent to changing the color filter every 10 cm. / 4 inches.

You get the benefit of a color filter without the loss of light and the hassle of changing filters. It is the first camera in the world that automatically gives you all the colors without a color filter.
